Volga Tannery has become new partner of WWF Russia. Our partnership has started with participation at WWF New Year's charity campaign when we donated a part of our New Year gifts budget to WWF Russia, whose goal is to save our planet for the living and future generations.
This week we decided to widen our partnership with the fund by joining WWF Russia Panda club that was created for those who consider it necessary to help preserve the nature of Russia.
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is one of the largest independent international environmental organizations, uniting about 5 million regular supporters and operating in more than 100 countries. Among the main areas of WWF Russia's work are: conservation of biological diversity, sustainable forest management, sustainable marine fisheries, climate and energy, green economy.
Volga Tannery sees joining WWF as a big step forward the implementation of the EMS policy that pays special attention to ecological issues.
We do realise that the exceptional quality of leather produced at the tannery depends directly on the water that feeds the production. This water is taken from the Seliger Lake that stands out for its unique water qualities. Our goal is not only to keep the Lake and the nature around it at its original form and quality but to help save and recreate the nature of our country.
