Volga Tannery has become the first tannery in Russia to achieve the standard in accordance with SLF standards based on the results of the audit

We are pleased to announce that following the results of the SLF audit, Volga Tannery has become the first Tannery in Russia to achieve the standard in accordance with the SLF Standards in three modules – Governance Responsibility, Social Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility.

The result obtained confirms that the production process at our Tannery fully complies with international standards and norms.

SLF - Leather Sustainability Foundation - is one of the leading non-profit international organizations established to control the quality standards of leather production.

The Sustainable Leather Foundation’s inclusive approach allows consumers to recognize and understand material product life-cycle management for better informed purchasing decisions. This is possible by assessing and certifying leather manufacturers and associated leather value chain organizations for their performance and compliance against the Sustainable Leather Foundation Audit Standard. Working with a joined up approach the Audit Standard is accompanied by robust Standards and Benchmarks, alongside Explanatory Notes and Templates.

All Standards and Benchmarks have been reviewed by experts in each respective area to ensure appropriateness and relevance.
