On November 16, schoolchildren of grades 8-11 of the State Farm Secondary School visited JSC Volga Tannery on an educational excursion.
During a tour, schoolchildren were able to investigate the long road of the birth of finished leather, starting from the soaking and liming yard, where cattle hides are subjected to the processes of soaking, dehairing, liming, etc., resuming with the finishing shop, where the semi-finished leather is tanned, polished and subjected to other complex finishing processes.
We thank the teaching committee of the School for their sincere interest in production and for the opportunity to introduce the younger generation to the Fine Art of leather making.
