Educational tour to the Volga Tannery

On October 09, during an educational tour to the Upper Volga region, Volga Tannery was visited by students in grades 9-11 of the HSE Moscow Lyceum.

During a tour schoolchildren got a chance to follow the entire path of the finished leather, all the way from the cattle hides to dyeing and finishing.

In addition, the schoolchildren were told not only about the Tannery’s rich, almost three hundred-year history, but also about the tradition of the continuity of generations, thanks to which over the centuries dynasties of Ostashkov Tannery workers have been formed.

We thank the teachers of the Lyceum for their sincere interest in production and for the opportunity to introduce the younger generation to the Fine Art of leather making.
