The "More than work" project has introduced students to an internship at JSC "Volga Tannery"

From September 21 to September 23, 2022, an introductory internship for technologist students will be held at Volga Tannery as part of a career guidance.

Amongst the organizers of the event are the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) ("More than work" project) and Organization "Russia - a country of opportunities".

The More Than Work project was launched in June 2022. It is being implemented as part of the "More than a Journey" program and tackles the problem of employment of young professionals. Its participants can travel around the country, as well as complete internship program at enterprises with further employment opportunities and learn the skills and knowledge necessary for work. It also answers the need of authorities and business in qualified personnel.

“We expect that this year at least 10,000 young people will be involved in the implementation of the project in all areas. Of these, 2 thousand people have completed internship programs in the proposed regions and 8 thousand are participants in industrial tourism programs. Young professionals and students will have an understanding of what tasks they will perform in their professional activities, and enterprises will have the opportunity to make job offers to promising young professionals. More than 130 enterprises have already joined our project and are ready to offer places for internships, internships and employment,” said Alexey Rvachev, head of the Rosmolodezh Career track.

The mentioned above internship at Volga Tannery will be welcoming 24 students of the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin".

The internship program will allow participants to immerse themselves in the processes and technologies of processing raw hides; visit the main production facilities, where experienced mentors will share their knowledge and skills.

Students will also study tanning, drying and dyeing processes of leather making.
