Volga Tannery has become new partner of Ecology saving fund. Our partnership has started with participation at Fund's New Year's charity campaign when we donated a part of our New Year gifts budget to the Fund, whose goal is to save our planet for the living and future generations.
This week we decided to widen our partnership with the fund by joining Ecology saving club that was created for those who consider it necessary to help preserve the nature of Russia.
Ecology saving fund is one of the largest independent international environmental organizations, uniting about 5 million regular supporters and operating in more than 100 countries. Among the main areas of Fund's work are: conservation of biological diversity, sustainable forest management, sustainable marine fisheries, climate and energy, green economy.
Volga Tannery sees joining the Fund as a big step forward the implementation of the EMS policy that pays special attention to ecological issues.
We do realise that the exceptional quality of leather produced at the tannery depends directly on the water that feeds the production. This water is taken from the Seliger Lake that stands out for its unique water qualities. Our goal is not only to keep the Lake and the nature around it at its original form and quality but to help save and recreate the nature of our country.
