To the attention of JSC Volga Tannery’s Partners. LWG certification updated information

Dear Volga Tannery Friends, Colleagues and Partners!

We would wish to inform you that the Leather Working Group has taken the decision to suspend all auditing and certification activities in Russia during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

All current certifications will remain valid until their expiry date however no new or re-audits will be undertaken while the conflict is ongoing.

Volga Tannery, along with other leather producers from Russia, was deprived of the opportunity to extend the LWG Certificate for an indefinite period.

The validity of the current Gold Certificate of the Tannery is suspended from August 2022.

Despite the decision, Volga Tannery will continue to ensure that it meets LWG's strictest standards and is prepared to further strive to the highest achievements in all aspects of ecological and social safety of production.

Our hope remains that the conflict will end within a reasonable time, and our Tannery will once again be able to confirm its compliance with LWG standards.
